The rain held off here and there for this week’s focus on “Fidgety Art” and hammering. One Youth shares, it’s ”something for me to do with my hands when I am anxious”. Art offers this discovery of self-regulation and awareness.
Many of the Youth last week had never used a hammer, especially the younger girls. Inspired by one another, these empowered girls were hammering away, winding thread, and adding color to their visual expressions. What confidence! We feel honored to witness this incredible transformation.
