Summer Gift Matching

Summer Gift Matching

Help keep the arts rolling this summer by having your gift matched through August 1st!

Summer can be a challenging time for youth living in our under-resourced communities. ArtVan is gearing up for a very busy season and we need your support. We are fortunate to have a donor who has generously offered to match all donations received before August 1st! This comes at a critical period since summer provides youth free time but parents may not be able to afford or have access to program opportunities. ArtVan brings therapeutic arts to these youth, providing consistent, weekly contact and an opportunity for them to express their imagination, relationships and experiences within themselves, amongst their peers and across their communities. Additionally, ArtVan offers programs free of charge for participants.

This past year has been transformative for ArtVan. We are expanding our therapeutic arts model to serve more diverse populations, including seniors, women who experience isolation and domestic violence, and youth with special needs. We are working hard to create an operating budget where the majority of funding goes directly to programming costs and is sustainable.

“ArtVan has helped me in so many ways. I have been part of ArtVan since I was very little. There are not many opportunities to express yourself in this world we live in. But, ArtVan provides a safe place where I can do just that- be myself! I love it!” –Makenzie, age 13, currently living in the Hyde Park community in Bath.

You can help have a positive impact on the lives of children and teens, like Makenzie, in Bath, Brunswick, Lewiston, Auburn, and nearby communities. Your contribution enables ArtVan to continue its critical work of offering therapeutic art programs to youth who have limited access to such opportunities.

Thanks to the generous support of private foundations and friends like you, ArtVan programs have grown to occupy a central place in the lives of more than 500 children, adults and seniors annually. To date, ArtVan has partnered with over 25 housing developments, schools and community organizations to deliver hands-on therapeutic arts programming.

By donating today, your gift will be matched dollar for dollar. Your donation will enable us to continue to deepen our art therapy services and help more young people and diverse populations channel their emotions and cope with stressful issues and circumstances.

Thank you so much for your support and for your consideration in helping us “keep the arts rolling!”

With Gratitude,

The ArtVan Board of Directors and Staff
